Internship Opportunities

​

Interested in supporting our program while building your professional skills within the nonprofit sector? Interns with The Reading People work with staff directly to assist in a variety of areas and tasks, including but not limited to: â€‹

​

  • Facilitation of program areas (Adult Literacy, GED, ESL, Children's Program)

  • Grant writing

  • Marketing, communications, and social media 

  • Special events & fundraisers

  • Training and supporting teen and adult tutors

  • Reading Assessments for Adult Literacy and English as a Second Language students

  • Data entry, reporting

  • Volunteer program area (recruitment, training, scheduling, communications, appreciation)

  • Upkeep and development of instructional resources

 

Interns are trained by and work directly with The Reading People staff. Credits and certificates may be earned in specific programs.
