At The Reading People, we believe everyone should have free access to books and be empowered with the ability to read. That belief resonates deeply with many people in our community. If it strikes a chord with you - due to your personal experience or because you've seen the amazing things that happen at The Reading People - then donating books is a meaningful way to support our mission.

All books we receive are given away for free at our public book giveaway and book exchange events, by inviting teachers and students to visit our Book Building to take all they need, and by deliveries we make to local schools to provide books in classrooms. We also distribute books through laundromats, clinics, and to other non-profit agencies serving at-risk children throughout our region. 

 

We accept new or gently used books for all ages.* Books can be dropped off in our donation box at Schuler's in the Meridian Mall, at Erickson Hall on MSU Campus, or at our office during business hours.
