Welcome to the Book building

Access to books should never be a barrier to learning. As part of our commitment to literacy in Lansing, we collect donated books, clean and organize them, and make them available to the community for free. With thousands of titles in our Book Building, there’s something for every reader — and every book is free to take home.

The book building is open to visitors Monday-Thursdays between 9am and 5pm, as well as the second Saturday of each month from 9am-1pm. All books are free for visitors to take home with them.
