Children's Book donations - collection and distribution

Every home needs to have books. Children benefit from observing and listening to others reading aloud, as well as from reading silently and to others. Children need books of their very own.

Over 30,000 children’s books are donated and distributed through CALC each year. We sort these books by reading level. In addition to providing reading materials for our Basic Reading, ESL, GED, and Family School Partnership programs, we encourage children to select books to keep. We also give books to children of our adult students. We also have many different books for adults. We are always accepting donations of new and gently used books. Books can be dropped off in our donation box at Schuler's in the Meridian Mall, at Erickson Hall on MSU Campus, or at our office during business hours.

CALC distributes books through laundromats, clinics, community events, school functions, and to other non-profit agencies serving at-risk children throughout our region. Please stop in if you are in need of books!
