Internship Opportunities


The range of CALC programs give several choices to students seeking internships or extended volunteer service. Choices include:


  • Supervising program components
  • Grant writing
  • Creating and implementing ad campaigns
  • Training and supporting teen and adult tutors
  • Interviewing, diagnosing and recommending instruction for basic adult literacy and English as a Second language students
  • Entering data
  • Participating in policy discussions
  • Conducting tutor training follow up sessions
  • Recruting volunteers
  • Managing and creating instructional materials

For these and all CALC activities interns and volunteers are given training and support. Certificates can be earned in specific programs. Letters of recommendation are available upon request.
