Children, teens and adults are given assessments pertinent to their needs. Learners with disabilities are given extensive testing while others may only be screened to discover their level of functioning and needs within a specific area. The Bader Reading and Language Inventory, serving as the diagnostic battery, is published by MERRILL/PRENTICE HALL, 5th Edition.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Assessment

ESL screening is provided for adults and children. This test is found in the The Bader Reading and Language Inventory.

Learner Goals and Objectives

Adults and children are interviewed to determine their short term and long term goals, as well as their interests and attitudes. Working with each learner's goals, interests and needs is central to our philosophy. The Bader Inventory provides priority checklists and unfinished sentences that supplement the open-ended interview.

FreeVision screening with Keystone Telebinocular equipment is available to all students. If testing indicates that glasses are needed, we can refer the student to optometrists or agencies who have agreed to provide low-cost prescriptions.
