CALC has been audited annually for the last fourteen years by the Certified Public Accounting firm of David E. Haddrill, PC. Audit results are reported directly to the board of directors by Dave Haddrill and CALC's financial statements have always received an unqualified opinion. The audit includes verification of all cash balances and review of vendor invoices and payroll preparation. We follow strict financial controls and guidelines. For example, reimbursements must be pre approved and not paid without an original receipt. Mr. Haddrill's firm also prepares monthly compiled financial statements for the Board, reconciles our bank accounts and prepares all payroll tax forms.
As a 501(c)3 non profit organization, CALC's financial reports and annual Federal Form 990 have always been available for public inspection.

Annual Dart Bowlathon
We will be celebrating our 8th Annual Dart Bowlathon on Saturday February 16, 2008. Dart employees seek sponsors for this day of bowling madness and literacy hullabaloo. All proceeds go directly to the Capital Area Literacy Coalition in our continuing efforts to develop and sustain an educated populace.
Many thanks to Dart Container for their years of ongoing support.
